  1. There are a few familiar faces and interesting connections in ths episode:

Peace to you, friend, and joy and tranquility! Charles Macaulay (Prefect Jaris) was Landru in ‘Return of the Archons’.

Pilar Seurat (Jaris’ wife Sybo) was given a phaser prop from set and brought it home for her young son, Dean – Dean Devlin, who went on to write and produce Stargate and Independence Day.

If John Fiedler (Mr. Hengist) seemed familiar, try closing your eyes and listening to him speak – he was the voice of Piglet in the Winnie the Pooh Disney cartoons for almost forty years.

  2. The evil entity speaking through the computer sounds like Uncle Fester from the Addams Family…..was Fester hiding darker secrets than we knew?

  3. Who killed the psychotricorder technician? Hengist was accounted for with other Argelians wasn’t he? Redjak can posess two people at once?

  4. Caption for this week’s photo:

HENGRIST: Give it to me! Give it to me now!!!
YEOMAN TANKRIS: Man, I keep telling you – you should have upped your pledge level weeks ago, it’s too late to get the Con show now!

  5. This episode really shows its 1960s hangups in the blithe sexism — specifically, the fact that everyone thinks it’s perfectly natural that Scotty should be mistrustful of all women as a result of his accident. Oh, and the idea that women are naturally more prone to terror than men. Sigh.

That said, I loved this one as a kid. At this point, I couldn’t tell you why.
